Kitsap Transit Community Virtual Meeting - Saturday, May 14, 1 - 2 pm

Kitsap Transit is holding its 2nd Quarter Community Meeting (virtual) this Saturday, May 14th. There are three sessions; the 1-2 pm session is targeted at South Kitsap.

Executive Director John Clauson will review proposed changes to Kitsap Transit's fare policy and information about our Long-Range Transit Plan before opening the floor for questions and answers.

We have no news about the feasibility study for moorage at Southworth. Maybe Mr. Clauson will provide an update.

The float is scheduled to arrive on May 18th.

The Port of Bremerton has scheduled the return of the seasonal float to Harper Pier on May 18th. Later than usual due to weather, tides, and staff resources, we hope these issues will align to allow the float to be returned as scheduled.

Kitsap Transit is asking for our input!

Kitsap Transit is requesting citizens complete a survey for their Long-Range Transit Plan.

The survey is open until May 31st and offers a drawing for a $150 VISA gift card.

While there is no question in the survey directly about Harper Pier, Southworth Ferry moorage is mentioned in the StoryMap (information available to read prior to completing the survey.) At the end of the survey, there is an opportunity to comment. ONE COULD INCLUDE A COMMENT ABOUT KEEPING THE FERRIES AT SOUTHWORTH, IF YOU ARE SO INCLINED.

Washington State Ferries needs to replace the aging Fauntleroy ferry terminal to maintain a safe and reliable ferry service for people who travel between West Seattle, Vashon Island, the Kitsap Peninsula, and beyond. We invite you to learn more about recent planning progress and what terminal alternatives WSF will study. 

Register for upcoming engagement opportunities

Join a virtual community meeting or participate in an online open house to learn more about the planning process and share your thoughts on issues WSF should consider. Both virtual meetings will cover the same information, so choose the one that works best for your schedule.

Details: Advanced registration is required for May 24 and May 25 meetings. The week after each meeting, a video recording will be available online on the project webpage.
